Quick Start Your Creativity
10 Tips to Awaken Your Creative Self
The beautiful thing about creativity is that you can never use it all up. It doesn’t come in jars or cans in measured amounts; it is infinite and we are free to use it however we wish. A bit like water or electricity; once you know how to flip the switch or turn on the tap, it just keeps coming. The majority of us are living with a lot of trapped energy and we are confined in ways of living that we wish could be different. Being creative isn’t something we do in our spare time. It is part of the very fabric of our being. All we have to do is recognise and accept this and give ourselves permission to create.
To be creative is to listen to our intuition - that little voice inside that would like to give direction to our lives, if only we would give it a chance. Courage is needed to take the first step since we have no way of knowing whether our actions will lead to successful outcomes, or where we may end up as result. But it’s only when we abandon our need to know and control absolutely everything that wondrous things start to happen. Dreams come from a future dimension and those who have a clear picture of how that dream will look and feel are catching a little glimpse of the future.
For any creative activity to have a chance of success, it is important that you decide wholeheartedly that your project matters, that what you do matters and that you are willing to commit 100% to your project. Your project may be personal or professional but, whichever, without commitment success will be left to chance. Successful people are committed people. Talent is important, a little luck may be involved but without committing heart and soul, success is doubtful.
Over the coming days you will learn how to root out your creative talents and you will have activities to practice to encourage you to use these talents in the pursuit of a satisfying and happy life – the life you deserve.
